Absolutely! Deciding to test for your genetic status is a very personal choice. We know that not having high risk genes doesn't make you immune to cognitive decline. Since we look at the specific nutrition and lifestyle factors that impact your risk and discuss how to test your important blood markers so you know what's happening in your body right now, you'll definitely still be able to use this course to build a tailored plan, regardless of your genes!

No testing is included here. We will discuss a wide range of testing that may be appropriate to evaluate your risk of cognitive decline but you will need to obtain these privately or through your healthcare professional. If you're in the UK I can help you with this!

No, research shows us that a one-size-fits-all approach (which includes generic meal plans) doesn't work. Each person will need a different amount of carbs, protein and fats and different styles of eating to keep their body and brain health optimal - and that's why this course exists! Also, I'm all about small improvements done slowly, and meal plans are often unrealistic and unsustainable for most people to stick to. Instead, we'll walk you through how to determine what's best for you, how to make those shifts in a step by step way and give you plenty of meal ideas and recipe inspiration to help you implement your personalised plan.

The changes that happen in the brain can occur up to 20 years before we see symptoms, so RIGHT NOW is always the best time to start looking after your brain! You can join the self-study course at any time, but the group and 1:1 accelerator will only be open for enrolment at certain times throughout the year. The course is completely self-study so you can go through it at your own pace. There are approximately 13 hours of video content throughout the entire course, so how long it will take you to work through the content will depend on how much time you have to allocate each week. You will also need to allow time to arrange and undertake testing and receive the results.

You'll keep access to the online programme content as long as it's in existence! You'll even stay updated as we improve the programme in the future (bonus!).

No one can guarantee you will never get Alzheimer's. It's a complex, multifactorial disease that's still not fully understood. However we have a lot of knowledge around the factors that increase our risk, so by improving each of these areas as discussed in this course you can reduce your risk. We also have promising studies showing that people have reversed their cognitive decline and MCI using a personalised approach similar to the one we cover in this course.
